Three generations of quality since 1960.
Roger Finnerty commenced business in 1960 at The Square, Oughterard. Before purchasing the business Roger worked in butchery from 1944. His wife, Brid, joined the business in 1964 and together they built a very strong business in the Connemara region. In 1988 Roger’s son Tommy completed the Butchery Management Course in DIT with Slyvester Bryne as his tutor and joined the family business.
In 1995 Tommy expanded the business and opened a second shop in The Eyre Square Shopping Centre in Galway City. Tommy manages the two shops with his wife Helen and son Thomas who joined the family business in 2018 and is the third generation of Finnerty’s.
